Locked state of stainless steel standard parts and Solutions

Time:2020.04.13    Browse:439
Stainless steel standard parts are easy to lock up, so we have to find out what is the lock up phenomenon? What causes the lock up of stainless steel standard parts? Then we have to analyze and deal with the cause of lock up. According to the summary of Chinese standard parts, we can choose a good solution, Reasonable and correct speed to solve the problem of stainless steel standard parts locking.
1. When using stainless steel standard parts, is the nut always locked at a fixed speed?
If you are a first-time user or unfamiliar with stainless steel standard parts process, you should consult your supplier about the relevant characteristics of stainless steel. Generally speaking, slowing down the speed of locking can greatly reduce (or even completely avoid) the chance of locking. Because thermal energy often occurs when the lock is on, when the thermal energy increases, the probability of lock is also increased. When in use, the speed of locking stainless steel fasteners shall be lower than that of locking carbon steel.
2. Do you lubricate the screws or nuts before locking?
If the answer is "no", it is recommended to use butter, molybdenum disulfide, graphite, mica or talcum powder to lubricate the internal and external teeth to reduce locking. Coating is also an effective lubrication method. The nut after stopping treatment will be like an additional layer of lubrication film between the nut and the screw.
3. Are screws and nuts of the same material grade selected?
If the answer is yes, it is suggested to use different grades of screws and nuts, such as 304 with 316, etc. However, it should be noted that the selected stainless steel grade should also meet the requirements of its own rust and corrosion resistance.
In addition, locking flange is the most common case. Suppose you have paid attention to and followed the above points, including the use of washers, coating nuts (it can also be recommended to use longer nuts, such as gb6170 or DIN934), nuts on the diagonal sequence, slowly screw them to the proper tightness in sequence, etc., if it still cannot be solved, it can not be removed after pre locking. Finally, please temporarily use carbon steel nuts when pre locking the flange device, Wait until the final formal lock, then use stainless steel nuts to find a balance between beautiful rust resistance and non locking.
